SBLM has a long-standing relationship with Whole Foods Market, providing architectural and design services for over 50 locations in the New York, New Jersey, Connecticut, and Florida markets. Amongst the challenges for SBLM include creating a consistency in the Whole Foods program, embodying the company’s core values, while addressing the multitude of tasks found in project types ranging from ground-up multistory and mixed-use buildings to urban developments and repurposed existing buildings. Many of the Whole Foods markets are supplemented by multiple eateries, open-air cooking venues, inviting outdoor space and front and back-of-house cooking facilities. The combinations of these features bring a uniquely challenging aspect to these projects. Many of these projects have achieved LEED Gold and Silver accreditation.
