As live experiences are increasingly among the expectations of modern consumers, shopping centers are now designed or reconfigured to attract events including concerts, festivals, premieres, private parties, and other social gatherings. Event spaces are replacing former anchor stores around the country. These modern and flexible venues are home to third-party corporate business and social events that offer such flexible outdoor space and top-end production amenities, such as lighting, sound, and back-of-house-facilities for a diverse range of programs. The rendering (right) shows a concept design that SBLM's Dallas team provided to Gilley's Fresh Market in Frisco, TX. Among other amenities, the event space includes a 1-story nightclub/bar and a 3,000-seat theater.
