When DLB sought to expand its presence into New York City, SBLM Architects was engaged to design a space that would reflect the company’s strong New Jersey roots while positioning it to attract top-tier talent and deepen connections in the urban market. The result is more than a satellite office—it’s a physical extension of DLB’s values, culture, and ambition. SBLM’s design approach focused on balancing authenticity with forward-thinking strategy. Drawing cues from DLB’s headquarters in New Jersey, the New York office incorporates materials, spatial proportions, and branding elements that echo the firm’s legacy—grounding the new space in a sense of continuity and trust. At the same time, the layout and aesthetic were tailored to appeal to the energy and expectations of a New York-based workforce: open, collaborative zones, refined finishes, and a setting that reflects the professional vibrancy of its Manhattan context.
