In a structure once shaped for confinement, SBLM sees an opportunity to design something different: a safe, stable space where individuals facing mental illness can receive support without starting over at every step. Services that once lived in separate buildings—intake, stabilization, therapy, housing, legal aid—now connect within a single, trusted environment. Every inch of the design works to ease stress and build trust, from softened materials to predictable movement and quiet transitions.
