Part of a larger project to bring new life to a 10-story office building, SBLM developed a renovation plan to transform and modernize over 230,00 square feet of area. Public law offices, retail spaces, and community services were all blended into one building. Fittingly, atop these multiple floors is Legal Aid Society, a civic program that provides free legal representation to low-income New Yorkers.

SBLM creates a setting that protects privacy, supports focus, and gently reinforces the seriousness of the work—without ever feeling cold or clinical. Every hallway, every meeting room, is shaped to remind people they are safe, seen, and supported.
