Supermarket Becomes Central Orthopedic Group Imaging Center

When Central Orthopedic Group (COG) sought to create a flagship office, their preferred location was occupied by an underperforming, blighted supermarket. Situated on a main road in suburban NY, the site had a strong street presence. SBLM realized COG’s vision for their flagship, and extended COG’s brand. This project entailed the adaptive reuse of the 10,000-sf former supermarket for a new medical outpatient facility. The program includes 10 exam rooms, two X-Rays, fluoroscopy suite, nursing stations, reception, waiting and support areas. The facility is designed for future expansion, with the infrastructure in place for diagnostic equipment including MRI and CT scan.
