SBLM Architects is a nationally recognized mid-sized architectural firm. Our Dallas office is looking for an Architectural Project Coordinator who is a highly motivated individual with excellent leadership and communication skills who seeks to assist in growing our newest regional office. 5 years plus of experience in the Retail, Education and/or Healthcare market sectors is required.


Job Responsibilities:

  • Demonstrate competence and professionalism, always with a high level of integrity.

  • Not a remote working position. ` Office hours; 8:30 AM to 5:30 PM, 5 Days a

  • Lead multiple project teams.

  • Work with a Principal/Director in writing proposals to clients.

  • Maintain primary contact with the client. Participate in all project meetings with the client and key team members.

  • Organize and develop document sets. Take on technically challenging issues as the leader of a project team and oversees supporting team members in completing all submissions.

  • Perform code and zoning analyses.

  • Survey and document existing conditions in the field. Organize and lead site visits and surveys

  • Communicate and coordinate with external and internal team members.

  • Stay current with graphic standards, building construction methods and lead research efforts into construction materials and systems.

  • Schedule projects to meet deadlines, minimize downtime, and minimize overtime.

  • Monitors team’s project performance from a scheduling and profitability standpoint.

  • Ensure Quality Assurance occurs as projects progress through its phases to maintain SBLM’s high standards for contract documents.

  • Be externalized in the community, actively building and utilizing a professional network.


Requirements:

  • Must hold a professional Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Architecture.

  • Applicant must have a minimum of 5 years’ experience in the Retail/Commercial, Education and/or Healthcare market sector projects in an architectural office.

  • Should be a Registered Architect or, at a minimum, in the process of taking the exams.

  • Proficient in AutoCAD and REVIT. We will administer a test for both.

  • Ability to multi-task. Work well under pressure and meet deadlines

  • Strong organizational skills.

  • Understand contracts and typical billing procedures.

  • Onsite construction field experience.

  • Understanding of structural, mechanical, electrical, and plumbing engineering systems.

  • Strong knowledge of Texas building, ADA codes and other applicable federal and industry standard guidelines.

  • Follow office standards, policies, and procedures.

  • Have good problem-solving skills: identifying a problem, obstacle, or opportunity and taking decisive action to address.
