Adaptive Reuse in Times Square

SBLM is working with a major developer on feasibility studies of an historic building located in midtown Manhattan. Design opportunities being explored include transforming the building into a Class A office building.

New Fifth Avenue Luxury Flagship

SBLM is designing a new flagship store on Fifth Avenue in Manhattan for a luxury retailer. The prominent location will feature a welcoming double height space filled with custom designed dimensional artwork, lighting and fixtures.


Higher Education Studio Projects

SBLM has multiple higher education design projects in various stages of development. The Nassau Community College Physical Sciences building renovation has kicked off and will provide a state-of-the-art environment for students and faculty. The first phase of a DASNY renovation at John Jay College will go into construction later this year. At the right is a recent design concept for a New Jersey University.

Whole Foods Market Miami Official Opening Ceremony  

Whole Foods Market Opens in Multiple Locations

SBLM Architects' newest Whole Foods opened on May 18th in Danbury, CT. As noted in the Danbury Daily Voice, "The store will be featuring several unique aspects, including the Burger and Shake bar, which is an homage to the Burger Bar that had been at the location when it was Marcus Dairy."

Whole Foods Market in North Miami (Sans Souci), FL opened on May 1st. SBLM provided the shell building as well as the interior for Whole Foods. The art deco-inspired store is the company’s 19th store in Florida and features a Panini bar, Pasta bar, Allegro Coffee bar, European style bakery, 750 wines, outdoor seating and a water harvesting system.

New Petco Distribution Center Opens

SBLM Architects attended the Grand Opening celebration of the new Petco Distribution Center in Cranbury, NJ. SBLM designed the 700,000 sf facility which has the option to expand to a million sf in the future. The facility employs over 300 people. It is Petco’s largest distribution center and serves most of the stores on the East Coast. They will soon be adding e-commerce order fulfillment to their services.

SBLM Architects exhibits PS 133K at the SCA  

An exhibit showcasing SBLM Architects' new school project PS 133K in Brooklyn, NY is on display at the NYCSCA. The exhibit is located in the entrance of the SCA offices at 30-30 Thomson Avenue, Long Island City, NY. PS 133K is a new 116,000-square-foot school which accommodates 950 students.

SBLM Architects is pleased to announce we were honored with two SMPS-NY (Society for Marketing Professional Services, New York Chapter) Communications & Industry Leadership Awards. SBLM won the Brand Identity Award for a branding campaign including a new website and firm brochures. Attendees at the Awards Gala voted for their favorite Communications Award submission and SBLM Architects was declared the People's Choice winner.
